Kaftas Shipping is one of Turkey’s major independent energy transporters, operating a diverse fleet of contemporary crude and product tankers with ice-class capabilities, shuttle tankers, and liquefied natural gas (“LNG”) boats. Kaftas Shipping. has had an amazing track record of growth since its beginning. Using years of experience, the Company has built a good reputation as a competent and efficient operator of well-maintained tankers who proactively serves customers’ global energy transportation needs.
Kaftas Shipping’s diverse energy fleet currently consists of 70 double-hull boats totaling 8.1 million dwt, with four dual-fuel LNG powered Aframax vessels under construction and a 2020-built scrubber-fitted South Korean-built VLCC to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2022.

The major responsibility of Kaftas Shipping Chartering Department is to respond rapidly, using a broad network of close personal contacts to serve both owners and charterers. Kaftas Shipping is the sole broker for a number of Turkey and International Charterers, with activities such as worldwide parcel cross-bookings and transportation of special parcels such as project shipments, heavy lifts, RoRo, and risky IMO classified cargoes. To meet the needs of our clients, Kaftas Shipping employs experienced brokers with “hands on management” and direct access to cutting-edge information technology. Kaftas Shipping is a member of the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association and the Mediterranean Shipping Association.
